Tata Harrier EV Safety Rating: Achieves 5-star on Bharat NCAP crash test results

Tata Harrier EV was tested by Bharat NCAP and the results seem to be quite good. Tata Harrier EV Safety Rating is out and the electric EV scores 5-star in the recently concluded crash test. On the adult occupant protection the electric SUV scores 32 out of 32. In child occupant protection, the SUV secures 45 out of 49.
In the crash test, BNCAP tested Empowered 75 and Empowered 75 AWD variants of the Harrier EV. However, the ratings are applicable for the entire range of the EV. The SUV comes with 6 airbags as a standard feature. Three- point seatbelts, ESC, ISOFIX anchors and much more are offered as standard feature. Top-spec Empowered trim is equipped with ADAS suite.
When it comes to child occupant protection, Harrier EV secures 45 out of 49 points. The SUV secures full points in dynamic test and CRS installation test. The Harrier EV offers ISOFIX anchorages on outboard rear seats.
Interior, battery and range
Inside the cabin of the SUV, the Tata Harrier EV gets 14.53-inch infotainment screen from Samsung along with dual-tone dashboard. There is a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display along with four-spoke steering wheel. Boot space of the e-SUV is 502 litres/ 999 litres (with 2nd row folded). There is a Level 2 ADAS on the SUV.
When it comes to battery options, the Harrier EV gets 65kWh LFP battery pack with single motor on the rear axle. Higher variants get 75kWh LFP battery pack with dual motors on both axles. The single motor variant gets 238hp while the dual motors variant gets 313hp along with 504hp. In terms of acceleration, 0-100 kmph can be achieved in just 6.3 seconds.
In terms of range, the Harrier EV RWD 75kWh gets 627km range while the AWD 75kWh gets 622km range. A 120kW DC fast charger can charge the battery from 20-80 percent in 25 minutes. On the other hand, the 7.2kW AC charger can charge from 10-100 percent in 10.27 hours.
