There were reports that in case of mob attacks and accidents, victims were deprived of compensation and the authority is working to ensure that no such incidents happen. DLSA was making the public aware that if the accused is not identified; Nevertheless the victims are eligible to claim compensation as there are committees at the district and state level to hear the victims. DLSA Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary Pratima Arora said that under the guidance of District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, DLSA Priya Sood, people are becoming aware of their rights to get compensation even in cases where the accused Compensation has not been received.

Has been identified. Pratima Arora said that DLSA is working in a missionary spirit to help the general public and the victims. The judge said that in case of death like in road accidents, the dependents of the victims are eligible for compensation. Lawyers and Para Legal Volunteers (PLVs) are part of DLSA who inform the public about any social issue. There was a provision that victims of injury, acid attack, rape, torture and other categories were covered under this facility. The people concerned and the dependents of the victims can come to claim their rights against the crime within six months, but in genuine cases, the deadline may be ignored by the DLSA or the State Legal Services Authority (SLSA).

Although DLSA has been organizing seminars in villages for this purpose, it also visits places where people gather in large numbers. Victims with serious injuries also fall in this category whose body is affected up to 40 percent. There is a provision for DLSA at the district level and SLSA at the state level for the rehabilitation of women and children.
