Tamil Names for Children: CM Stalin Invites Suggestions

Tamil Nadu: Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has appealed to the public to suggest Tamil names for children.

A dedicated website has been launched to facilitate the naming of children in Tamil. In this regard, the Chief Minister shared a post on social media:

“May Tamil Nadu be filled with Tamil names. At every wedding I attend, I will request the bride and groom to give beautiful Tamil names to their children.

We have now made available to you a list of such names, along with their meanings. We will continue to upload new names on an ongoing basis.” In his post, the Chief Minister also noted that you—the public—can suggest names as well and contribute to this initiative.
