Tamil Nadu will showcase tourism potential at the Mahabalipuram Expo: Minister TRB Raja

Chennai: The Tamil Nadu government will hold its first International Tourism Summit in Mahabalipuram, a world-renowned heritage destination, starting February 2nd. Tourism Minister R. Rajendran and Industries Minister T.R.B. Raja jointly announced this at a press conference held at the Secretariat on Tuesday. The ministers said the summit will be hosted in Mahabalipuram, one of the world’s most popular tourist destinations, attracting a large number of international visitors each year. The summit aims to showcase Tamil Nadu’s tourism potential across multiple sectors. Addressing the media, Raja stated that Tamil Nadu ranks number one in tourism, covering areas such as heritage, culture, and medical tourism. He added, “Beyond cultural festivals, we should also highlight and celebrate other aspects of our tourist destinations.”
The summit aims to showcase Tamil Nadu’s tourism potential across multiple sectors. The ministers launched the logo of the Tamil Nadu Global Tourism Summit and said that more announcements related to the event will be made in the coming days.
