Tamil Nadu: Whistles were confiscated from cricket fans.

Tamil Nadu: On Sunday, during the T20 World Cup cricket match at the Chepauk Cricket Stadium, police banned fans from carrying whistles.

The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is currently underway. The match between New Zealand and Afghanistan took place on Sunday at the M.A. Chidambaram Cricket Stadium in Chepauk, Chennai.

During the match, police banned fans from bringing whistles into the stadium. Some police officers even confiscated whistles from fans.

The police department also stated that roadside vendors near the stadium should not sell whistles.

It is noteworthy that the whistle symbol has been allotted to actor Vijay’s political party for the upcoming assembly elections.
