Tamil Nadu: Very heavy rain likely in districts on November 29 and 30

Tamil Nadu: A cyclone developing in the Bay of Bengal has triggered a very heavy rainfall warning for several districts.

The cyclone over the Kumari Sagar and adjoining southwest Bay of Bengal and Sri Lanka has now strengthened into a deep depression.

The India Meteorological Department has stated that it will intensify into a storm within the next 12 hours and move towards the northern Tamil Nadu coast.

In this situation, independent meteorologist Pradeep John, known as the Tamil Nadu Weatherman, has stated in his forecast:

“There is no change in the previous forecast. The cyclone is expected to intensify further and make landfall very close to Chennai and Puducherry. Will it make landfall near Chennai? Or will it remain out at sea? We will know later.”

The areas that will receive the most rainfall are Nagapattinam, Tiruvarur, Mayiladuthurai, Cuddalore, and Puducherry.

The areas that will receive heavy rainfall are Thanjavur, Ramanathapuram, Pudukkottai, Trichy, Salem, Namakkal, Ariyalur, Kallakurichi.

November 29 to 30

The areas that will receive the most rainfall are Chennai, Kanchipuram, Villupuram, Tiruvallur, and Chengalpattu.

The areas that will receive heavy rainfall are Tiruvannamalai, Vellore, Ranipet.

“If the storm system “Its movement will cause some changes in the rainy days. If it crosses the coast between Chennai and Puducherry, interior areas like Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri, Tirupattur and Bengaluru will also receive rain,” he said.
