Tamil Nadu: Verification Process for Engineering College Sports Quota Begins on June 1

Tamil Nadu: The counseling process for government-quota seats in engineering colleges across Tamil Nadu has commenced for the current year. In this context, the dates for certificate verification have been announced for students applying under the sports quota. According to information released by the Directorate of Technical Education, this verification process will be conducted from June 1 to June 9.
A government press release states that the verification of documents for students applying under the ‘Outstanding Sportsperson’ category will take place at the Vivekananda Stadium, Anna University Campus, Guindy, Chennai. This process will be carried out in a phased manner, strictly adhering to the prescribed schedule, to ensure that all eligible students are verified in a timely fashion.
The Directorate of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu, has also clarified that students who have registered under the sports quota have already been notified of their specific verification date and time via SMS. Students are advised to appear strictly according to their allotted schedule to avoid any inconvenience.
Furthermore, the department has issued a directive making it mandatory for all candidates to appear in person with their original sports certificates. Each student is also required to bring two photocopies of their certificates to ensure that there are no delays in the verification process.
