Tamil Nadu: Rain likely in Western Highlands districts till April 4

Tamil Nadu: The Chennai Meteorological Department has reported that rain is expected in the western hill districts of Tamil Nadu until April 4th.
A press release issued by the Meteorological Department on Sunday stated: A low-pressure area is present at an altitude of about 0.9 km, extending from northern Odisha to southern Tamil Nadu, across Telangana and Karnataka. Due to this, isolated moderate rain with thunder and lightning is expected in the western hill districts from Monday (March 30th) to April 4th, and isolated light rain is expected in the coastal districts of southern Tamil Nadu.
Northern weather is expected in the rest of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal. The sky will be partly cloudy in Chennai and Puducherry on Monday.
Rainfall: In Tamil Nadu, the highest rainfall in the 24 hours ending at 8:30 am was recorded in the Thakkalai and Chittaru areas of Kanyakumari district, at 20 mm each. Upper Bhavani (Nilgiris) and Shivalokam (Kanyakumari) recorded 10 mm of rain each.
