Tamil Nadu: Rain is expected in Chennai and 9 districts for the next 2 hours.

Tamil Nadu: The Chennai Meteorological Department has stated that there is a possibility of rain in 10 districts, including Chennai, in the next two hours.

The weather department had earlier predicted that a low-level circulation was likely to form over south Tamil Nadu and adjoining areas, which could bring light to moderate rainfall at a few places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal regions on Tuesday (December 16).

It was also stated that Chennai and its surrounding areas would experience partly cloudy skies on Tuesday, with a possibility of light rain in some parts of the city.

In this context, light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning is likely in Cuddalore, Nagapattinam, Mayiladuthurai, Ramanathapuram, Thanjavur, and Tiruvarur districts in the next two hours (until 10 AM).

A report issued by the Chennai Meteorological Department also stated that light rain is likely in Chennai, Chengalpattu, Tiruvallur, and Villupuram districts.
