Tamil Nadu: Rain in 16 districts for the next 3 hours

Tamil Nadu: The Chennai Meteorological Department has reported that rain is likely in 16 districts of Tamil Nadu in the next 3 hours.

Regarding this, the Chennai Meteorological Department has posted on its X-site page,

Light rain with thunder and lightning is likely at some places in Ariyalur, Coimbatore, Cuddalore, Kanyakumari, Mayiladuthurai, Nagapattinam, Pudukkottai, Ramanathapuram, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Thoothukudi, Trichy, Nellai, Tiruvannamalai, Vellore, Villupuram, and Karaikal-Puducherry districts.

It is noteworthy that the Meteorological Department has stated that the low pressure area (cyclonic storm) over the southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining southern Sri Lanka and the Indian Ocean is strengthening.
