Tamil Nadu: Poll worker attacked, 5 injured

Tamil Nadu: Five people were injured in an attack on a poll worker in Parimunai, Chennai.
Voting for voters in the Chennai Port constituency took place in Thavekavinar on Tuesday. While they were voting on Angappan Street in Parimunai, some bystanders began questioning them about whether they had the correct voting permission.
They objected, leading to an argument between the two parties. The argument escalated, and Nabas attacked the Thaveka workers.
The injured Thaveka administrator, Thangapandian (30) of Mannadi, his sister Bhavani (26), Jafar Hussain (36) of Adam Street, Mannadi, Dilip (30) of Thiruvalluvar Nagar, Parimunai, and Mukesh (41) of Kondithope were treated at Stanley Government Hospital. The North Coast Police are investigating the incident.
