Tamil Nadu : Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin proudly said that Tamil Nadu is the only state in India that is 60 per cent urbanised. Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin on Wednesday inaugurated the 4-year achievement photo exhibition set up by the Municipal Administration and Drinking Water Supply Department at the Chennai Corporation’s Ripon Building premises and inaugurated 102 project works completed at a cost of Rs 399.81 crore. Project works: Earlier, the Deputy Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for 108 new project works costing Rs 975.63 crore and also issued appointment orders to 49 people selected by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission in the Tamil Nadu Drinking Water and Drainage Board. He also handed over keys to drivers of 11 new vehicle services costing Rs 1.64 crore, including a battery-operated vehicle to help the elderly and differently-abled go to the beach, a garbage collection vehicle and a dog catcher vehicle. He then presented Rs 7,26,000 as incentives to 114 people, including 62 students who scored high marks in Class 10 and Plus 2 public examinations of Chennai Corporation schools, 38 teachers who supported them and principals of 14 schools.
