Tamil Nadu government gives priority to the development of women

Tamil Nadu: Salem Lok Sabha member T.M. Selvaganapathy said that the Tamil Nadu government is implementing several special schemes for the development of women.

The DMK’s ‘Vellam Tamil Women’ consultative meeting was held on Wednesday in Karumalikood, Mettur Assembly constituency. Salem West District DMK Secretary and MP T.M. Selvaganapathy chaired the meeting and said: Participants in the ‘Vellam Tamil Women’ campaign should campaign door-to-door from February 23 to March 18. Women are the backbone of this movement. Women are a strong vote bank for the DMK. We must strive for the progress and safety of women.

There are 327 polling booths in the Mettur Assembly constituency. Campaigning should be conducted by dividing polling booths into 10 households, with 50 households for every 3,270 women soldiers.

The schemes launched by the Tamil Nadu government for the development of women should be made available to the people. The DMK government is the only government that has consistently allocated funds for women’s rights, surprising opposition parties.

The United Nations itself praises the Tamil Nadu government’s initiatives. The pride of the Tamil Nadu government’s initiatives should be conveyed to the people through women. He stated that women play a major role in the state’s development and that the economic cycle is driven by women.

The event was attended by Mettur Constituency Supervisor Riya, Western District Deputy Secretaries Sundaram and Sampath Kumar, Treasurer Ponnusamy, Union Secretary Arthanareeswaran, Srinivas Perumal, Mithun Chakraborty, Kasi Viswanathan, Mettur City Secretary Kasi Viswanathan, and others.
