It has attracted attention and the volunteers are getting recognition for their efforts. The Dr. BR Ambedkar Free School of Villupuram was established in 2021 under the leadership of Madanvalavan and six volunteers Premkumar, Leelavathi, Jagateswari, Thirunavukkarasu, Nandini and Induchudar. Together, the two have successfully run the educational center for three years. More than 50 students from the city have enrolled here and are taking advantage of the free school. These students are taught by educated volunteers with graduate degrees.

The free school provides education to students from class 6 to 12. Apart from their regular subjects, they are taught general knowledge and participate in various activities. Apart from the curriculum, they are also taught other things like constitutional law, traditional sports, and awareness about tourist spots. The school operates from 6:00 am to 7:00 am and in the afternoon from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. This free school is held in a library in Pagandai village in Villupuram. While setting up the free school, Madanvalavan and his group of volunteers faced many problems and obstacles which they overcame and are now running the school smoothly with the support of the villagers. The reason for forming this school was to ensure that everyone gets education and general knowledge for free. The students also mentioned that whatever they learn from the volunteers helps them understand and complete their tasks easily. The volunteers also teach the students sports like Kabaddi as part of their education and physical development.
