Tamil Nadu: Door-to-door distribution of ‘booth slips’ is in full swing.

Tamil Nadu: The distribution of Voter Information Slips (Booth Slips) is in full swing across Tamil Nadu. Therefore, polling station officials are distributing them to every household.

Election officials stated: Large-scale awareness campaigns are being conducted to increase voter turnout. Most newly registered voters have been issued photo ID cards.

It is impossible to prevent multiple candidates from contesting elections under the same name in the same constituency. To avoid confusion among voters, we have included photos on the Electronic Voting Machines and Voter Acknowledgement Slips.

The distribution of Voter Information Slips (Booth Slips) is being carried out at a rapid pace. This time, the serial number and part number will be printed larger than usual. They will also include a QR code. Steps have been taken to distribute information slips to all voters before the 17th.

Booth slips cannot be used as identification documents for voting. Alternatively, 12 other documents, including a voter ID card or Aadhaar, can be used.

The Election Commission has created a structure where no one can know which candidate a voter has voted for. Voting machines and VVPAT machines have already been separated. The work of affixing candidate names and symbols is about to begin. Officials are also being trained for this.

Of the 75,000 polling booths to be set up in Tamil Nadu, 5,938 have been deemed sensitive. He said that more than 23,000 paramilitary forces have been deployed for security.
