Tamil Nadu: College student dies after motorcycle collides with tree
Tamil Nadu : A college student died after his two-wheeler rammed into a tree in Besant Nagar, Chennai.
Mahendran’s son Kishan (18) hails from Shakthi Nagar in Nelkundram. He is studying in the second year of BSc in a private college in the area. Kishan’s friend Akshay Tamilarasan (16) also hails from the same area and is studying in Plus Two in a private school in the area.
Kishan had taken his friend Akshay Tamilarasan on his two-wheeler to Elliot’s Beach in Besant Nagar on Thursday. They were driving at a high speed without paying attention to the speed bump at the third cross street in Besant Nagar. During this, the two-wheeler climbed the speed bump and fell down, lost control and rammed into a tree there.
Kishan, who was seriously injured in the accident, died on the spot. Akshay Tamilarasan, who was seriously injured and battling for life, was rescued by people and taken to a private hospital in Adyar for treatment. Adyar Traffic Investigation Unit police have registered a case in connection with the accident and are investigating.
