Tamil Nadu AIADMK leaders meet Amit Shah

Senior leaders of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) held a strategic meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah during his visit to Tamil Nadu, focusing on preparations for the upcoming 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
The meeting took place after Shah attended a BJP programme in the state, where he shared his views on political developments and criticisms of the ruling party.
Following the event, AIADMK senior leaders, including former minister S.P. Velumani, ex-MPs Rathinavel and P. Kumar, joined Amit Shah for a detailed discussion in Trichy, where the Union Minister was staying.
During the consultations, key election strategies and alliance plans were discussed. Party executives sought guidance from Shah on how to strengthen opposition efforts against the ruling DMK and coordinate effectively with BJP leadership. The talks also reportedly touched upon constituency allocation and seat-sharing arrangements within the opposition camp.
