Tamil Nadu: ‘Agriculture Department looking for farmers’ project launched

Tamil Nadu : Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Thursday launched the ‘Agriculture Department in search of farmers’ project. The ‘Agriculture Department in search of farmers’ scheme was announced in the agriculture budget. The scheme will be implemented in 17,116 villages. Chief Minister M.K. Stalin launched the scheme at Manickamangalam village in Tiruvarur district through video conferencing from the Chief Secretariat. Through this scheme, agricultural extension services and government schemes will be provided to farmers in their villages. Camps for this scheme will be held in two villages of each taluk once every 15 days. After this, camps will be held in 1,540 villages every month in four villages of each taluk of Tamil Nadu. The program was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, Agriculture Minister M.R.K. Panneerselvam, Chief Secretary N. Muruganantham, Agriculture Secretary V. Dakshinamoorthy and many others.
