Tamil Nadu: 17 suburban electric trains cancelled today

Tamil Nadu : Due to maintenance work, 17 suburban electric trains running on Chennai Central to Gummidipundi and Sulurpet route will remain cancelled on Thursday (June 5) and June 7.
Maintenance work will be carried out at Chennai Kavaripettai and Gummidipundi railway stations from 11.15 am to 3.15 pm on June 5 and 7. Consequently, suburban electric trains running between Central-Gummidipundi and Sulurpettai from 9.40 am to 3.50 pm on these work days will remain completely cancelled. Similarly, a total of 17 suburban electric trains running on Coast-Gummidipundi and Central-Avadi routes will remain completely cancelled.
However, for the convenience of passengers, a total of 6 special trains from Central to Ponneri, Meenjur and Ennore and Coast to Ponneri and Ennore will be operated from 10.30 am to 3.33 pm on those days.
Egmore-Puducherry train: Meanwhile, renovation work will be carried out at Egmore railway station from June 5 to August 4. Due to this, on those days, the MEMU passenger train (No. 66051) leaving Egmore at 6.24 am for Puducherry will leave from Coast at 6.25 am instead of Egmore. In the opposite direction, the train (No. 66052) leaving Puducherry at 4 pm will operate up to Coast. It is reported that this train will make additional halts at Fort and Park railway stations in both directions.
