Taman Sonawani first gave the CGPSC paper to a relative, then leaked it after taking crores of rupees

Raipur. Many big revelations have been made after the charge sheet of CGPSC irregularities in the state came out. In this entire charge sheet presented by CBI, about 41 people including 7 employees working in CGPSC office have been made witnesses, but the statement of 5 such people could not be recorded who are either the investigators of this entire case or are deeply involved in this irregularity. According to the charge sheet, in July 2020, Taman Singh and Controller of Examination Aarti Vasnik held a meeting with Arun Kumar Dwivedi of M/s AKD Printer Pvt. Ltd. in Raipur regarding publication of question paper, after which an agreement was made between the two on 17 August 2020 that an agreement was made to set 2 question papers.

Under the contract from 17 August 2020 to January 2022, M/s. AKD Printers Pvt Ltd Calcutta gave 50 questions each in both the question papers, including 55 for General Studies Paper-1 and 82 for Aptitude Test Paper-2, to Aarti Vasnik for reviewing and finalizing 100 questions in each paper. Mahesh Das, an employee of the firm, sent them to Raipur in January 2022 in a sealed envelope. The CBI, in its charge sheet, has disclosed the leak of the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) 2021 question paper and has named the then chairman of CGPSC, Taman Singh Sonwani, as the one who leaked it. The then Controller of Examinations Aarti Vasnik and Deputy Controller of Examinations Lalit Ganvir were involved with him in this conspiracy.

The CBI investigation has revealed that Sonwani gave these papers to his nephews Nitesh and Sahil, who later became Deputy Collector and DSP. In this entire case, the senior defense lawyer says that the charge sheet that has been presented is directionless. What does the CBI want to say? What allegation does it want to make, it is not clear. The candidates were selected and within 4 days a challan was filed against them, a charge sheet was prepared to please someone.
