Surat: ‘Traffic Training Program’ organized by the Chamber to create traffic awareness among the students from the study period itself.

The South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry undertakes social responsibilities along with the development of trade and industry. The Chamber’s Traffic Education and Awareness Committee on Monday 17 April 2023 Suman High School No. near Vijayanagar in Udhna. Organized ‘Traffic Training Program’ for the students.

Chamber’s Traffic Education and Awareness Committee President Kamini Dumaswala and committee members Brijesh Verma, Mukesh Patel and Dilip Shah trained about 300 students on traffic rules at Suman High School. The importance of helmet and seat belt was explained to the students by giving the example of the driver losing his life in an accident due to not wearing a helmet while driving and not wearing a seat belt in the car. Mobile phone should not be used while driving and students should always walk on the right side while walking on the road etc.

Everyone knows about the green and red signals especially on the traffic signal, but the students were given detailed information about the orange signal. Many times it happens that due to the high speed of the vehicle, the driver is not able to control the vehicle when there is a sudden red signal and there is a risk of accident, so orange signal is given before the red signal. When there is an orange signal, the driver knows that now there will be a red signal, so he has to slow down the vehicle.

Apart from this, the students were informed about various rules of road safety and the importance of license. How can road accidents be reduced? He was also given detailed information about this. It was requested on behalf of the Chamber to inform their parents, family members and relatives about the information given to the students during the traffic training program.
