After the incident of dog attack on a girl in Althan village, about ten dogs have been chased away by the administration. The mayor made a statement about dog aggression that diabetes is on the rise in dogs and because of this they are becoming more aggressive.
Dogs sent to Bhestan for vaccination
Dog attack is creating fear among the people. Waking up after the complaint of the local people, the Surat Municipal Corporation has intensified the action to catch the dogs. The dogs are fast tracked by the municipal team that does the spay and vaccination. After this the dogs are sent to Bhestan for vaccination.

Surat Mayor Hemali Boghavala said that the system is working on high alert in view of the increasing number of dog bite cases. The dog cages have also been increased. The medical team has also been increased by increasing the capacity to catch dogs. A team of special doctors has also been formed for stray dogs in Surat.

The mayor said that there are many reasons for dog attacks, including dogs being hungry, eating food in the hands of children, breeding time, and according to doctors, the rate of diabetes in dogs is also increasing.
