Surat: Garment factory fire, 4 laborers rescued

Due to the presence of a large number of textile processing and readymade garment factories in Surat, incidents of fire keep happening on the coming days. When a sudden fire broke out in a garment factory in Udhna Udyog Nagar, the fire department team reached the spot and brought the trapped laborers out.

4 laborers were evacuated

Udhna Udyog Nagar – A fire broke out in the saree and kurta making machinery in Sector 2 Plot No. 39 DL Garment. The fire spread very quickly, in which 4 workers were trapped on the second floor. Before the fire spread further, the fire brigade team reached the spot. Immediately a team of fire department started the work of taking down from the second floor. Everyone was rescued and taken out safely.

Fire can be caused by short circuit: Fire officer

Fire officer Akshay Patel said that after receiving information about the fire late night, we reached the spot and tried to control the fire. A huge amount of raw material was lying on the second floor. The four laborers trapped on the second floor, Zeeshan Ansari, Shakeel Mohammad Ansari, Rehan Ansari, Arbaaz Ansari were rescued and brought down. The fire has been brought under control. The preliminary information about the fire is believed to be a short circuit.
