‘Sunya Ganthi’ witnessed in Patitapabana flag of Puri Srimandira

Puri: In a rare and auspicious happening, ‘sunya ganthi’ was witnessed in the Patitapabana Bana, the sacred flag that is fixed at the pinnacle of Srimandira, the famous Lord Jagannath temple in Puri of Odisha on Monday. According to the servitors it is a good sign.
As per reports, sunya ganthi was witnessed in the famous Patitapabanan bana, the flag of Srimandira today. Such a knot is a good symbol for the devotees and the State.
Sunya Ganthi is regarded as a sign that the Lord will remove the danger coming to the country and the state, said senior servitors of Srimandira.
The Chunara Servitors said that by keeping a ‘sunya ganthi’ entwined patitapabana flat of Srimandira at home, one recovers from all kind of diseases. Besides, dangers and misfortunes are also removed from the house as its auspicious effects, the Chunara Sevak said.
Yesterday, there was a strong wind, due to which the knot entwined in the flag. However, such a happening has rarely been witnessed. Now, the flag with the ‘Sunya Ganthi’ is furling atop the Srimandira. It will be removed today in the evening in a ceremonial event.
