Sundaran University question paper leak case: Case registered under 6 sections

Tamil Nadu : In the Tirunelveli Manonmaniam Sundaranar University question paper leak case, Pettah police have registered a case under 6 sections and are investigating the person who sent the question paper to the examinee’s mobile phone.
Colleges are run in 4 districts of Tirunelveli, Tenkasi, Thoothukudi and Kanyakumari under Tirunelveli Manonmaniam Sundaranar University. Term examinations are currently being conducted in these colleges.
In such a situation, B.Com. ‘Industrial Law’ examination for third year students was scheduled to be held on 27th, but the examination was cancelled due to question paper leak. After this, a new question paper was prepared and the examination was conducted last Friday.
Meanwhile, the Registrar of Manonmaniam Sundaranar University has lodged a complaint at Socrates Pettah police station, demanding investigation and appropriate action in the leak of examination question paper.
Moreover, on the 26th at 10 pm, the question paper of the exam scheduled for the next day (May 27) came on the WhatsApp mobile phone of the university candidate from another number. Due to this, we cancelled the exam. Therefore, appropriate action should be taken against those responsible for the question paper leak, he also mentioned in the complaint.
Accordingly, the Pettah police have registered a case under Sections 316, 318, 3(5) of the new Criminal Procedure Code and Sections 3, 4 and 5 (misappropriation of funds) of the Tamil Nadu Government’s Public Procurement Act and are investigating.
Meanwhile, when the number from which the question paper was sent to the candidate’s mobile phone was checked, the police said it had the name Arivuselvan of Madurai, and they are investigating using that number.
