Summer special train from Chennai to Bihar Baroni will run for three weeks from April 12.

Tamil Nadu: In response to the summer rush and holiday season, Southern Railway has announced the operation of a summer special train from Chennai Central to Baroni, Bihar. This train will provide passengers with a convenient and safe travel option.

A press release issued by Southern Railway on Saturday stated that Special Express Train No. 06039 will depart from Chennai Central Railway Station at 11:50 pm on April 12, 19, and 26 (Sundays). The train will arrive at Baroni Station on April 15, 22, and 29 (Wednesdays), respectively.

Return Train No. 06040 will depart from Baroni at 9 pm on April 15, 22, and 29, and arrive at Chennai Central Railway Station on April 18, 25, and May 2, respectively. This provides passengers with a regular and systematic travel schedule.

These special trains have been equipped with special coaches designed for passenger convenience. The train will consist of one air-conditioned double-decker coach, three air-conditioned triple-decker coaches, 10 sleeper coaches, four general second-class coaches, and two second-class disabled coaches. This arrangement will provide passengers with a comfortable journey and ensure seat availability during rush hours.

Railway officials stated that booking for these trains began on Saturday. Passengers can book their seats through the IRCTC website or mobile app. Passengers have been requested to book their tickets well in advance for a safe and comfortable journey.

Southern Railway has taken this step to ensure the convenience and crowd management of passengers traveling long distances during the summer. With the special train service, crowding on regular trains will be reduced, resulting in a better travel experience.

The Railways stated that all passengers traveling on this summer special train should follow railway regulations and observe mask wearing, social distancing, and other health safety guidelines throughout the journey. Officials stated that the Railways will pay special attention to passenger safety and convenience during this service.

Passengers have been informed that special seats have been reserved for children, the elderly, and disabled passengers on the train. Furthermore, special attention will be paid to cooling and cleanliness in the air-conditioned coaches.

This initiative by Southern Railway will prove to be a major step in providing convenience to passengers traveling long distances this summer. This summer special train from Chennai to Baroni will commence on April 12 and will operate regularly for three weeks.
