Subhadra Yojana: Eligible women to get first installment of Rs 5,000 in phase 2 on Oct 9
Bhubaneswar: Good news for women who have applied for the Subhadra Yojana. The Deputy Chief Minister of Odisha has made a significant announcement that all the eligible women candidates who are awaiting for their first installment of Rs 5,000 will receive the money in the second phase on October 9.
The women beneficiaries, who were excluded in the first phase for some other reason, will get the Subhadra Yojana money in the phase 2 on October 9, the Dy CM revealed.
According to the DY CM statement, the phase 2 money of the first installment for Subhadra Yojana beneficiaries will be released on October 9 in Baripada in Mayurbhanj district, which is the he land of Maa Subhadra and the home town of President Droupadi Murmu.
Moreover, the highest number of Subhadra beneficiaries are also from Baripada, added the DY CM.
The Subhadra scheme is a flagship initiative by the Government of Odisha aimed at financially empowering women. Subhadra Yojana was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Bhubaneswar, Odisha on September 17, 2024. This is the largest, single women-centric scheme launched by the Government of Odisha.
Under the Subhadra scheme, every eligible beneficiary between the ages of 21 and 60 would get Rs 50,000 over the course of five years, from 2024–2025 to 2028–2029. A sum of Rs 10,000/-per annum, payable in two equal payments, would be deposited straight into the beneficiary’s bank account using DBT and Aadhaar.
