Study in dilapidated school building, teachers and children helpless

Mahasamund: The condition of education in Mahasamund district is very bad. The state of negligence is such that children are studying amidst dangers. In Singhora School, the situation is such that children and teachers reach school with umbrellas. Because there is only one classroom in the school and water drips continuously from the roof here.

A photo has gone viral from Saraipali area. In which teachers are standing inside the school with umbrellas. When some media representatives reached the school to know the reality, they saw that it was raining outside, children were studying standing in the classroom with umbrellas, water was dripping from the roof.

According to the information, a resolution was passed on 23 June 2024 in the presence of the Block Education Officer and children have been selected for studying in this dilapidated building. This entire matter is of Sagarpali of Singhoda complex of Saraipali block where after the school building became dilapidated, the education department officials passed a proposal to shift the children to another dilapidated building for studies. These days water is continuously dripping from the roof in this displaced building. The children do not have space to even put their feet in this single room and are forced to study standing on the wet ground. Despite being forced to study under a leaking roof, the education department officials do not even come to take a look. Hence many questions have arisen.
