Students should ensure they vote for their families: Vijay

Tamil Nadu : Tamil Nadu Vettri Club president Vijay urged students to urge their family members to vote regularly in the elections.

An award ceremony was organised by the Tamil Nadu government at Mamallapuram near Chennai on Friday to reward the best performing students in the 10th and Plus 2 general elections according to the assembly constituency.

Party leader Vijay attended it and while presenting the awards to the students, said:

It is important to achieve success in studies. However, excelling in only one subject cannot be considered an achievement. Also, it is not necessary to be depressed just thinking about it. Is NEET the only exam in the world? There is a lot to achieve in this world beyond this.

Students should now improve themselves in the field of science and technology. Only then can they succeed in the current world of artificial intelligence. Similarly, parents should not put pressure on their children but should let them follow the path of their choice. No matter how many difficulties and failures they have to face, children will definitely succeed in that field.

Democracy: Only by following democracy can all fields work freely. Everyone will get everything. So students should urge those living in their homes to perform their democratic duty properly. In the coming elections, we should choose people who are good, trustworthy and free from corruption.

Keep it aside: Do not get caught in caste and religious divisive thinking. Keep it aside like you keep drugs aside. Recently in the Central Civil Services Examination, a question was asked in such a way that there is caste based bias against Periyar Avra. We strongly condemn this.

Money for vote: You did not vote by taking money. They are going to throw money in trains in next year’s elections. This money has been looted from you. You know very well what to do then, Vijay said.

Awards: Vijay presented awards and certificates to over 600 students who excelled in the Class 10 and 12 public examinations in 88 assembly constituencies across 16 districts in Tamil Nadu.

Diamond earrings were given to girls and diamond rings to boys who excelled at the State level. Other students were given gold coins. The meeting was attended by THAVEKA general secretary N. Anand, election management department general secretary Adhav Arjun, along with administrators, students and parents.
