Stolen tractor recovered from the forest, four accused arrested

Raigarh. The police solved the tractor theft case in the Gharghoda police station area of ​​the district within 24 hours. The police arrested four accused and recovered the stolen tractor and trolley. According to the information received, Gagan Sahu (26), a resident of Ward No. 05, Gharghoda, had lodged a report of tractor theft in the police station Gharghoda yesterday. He told that about six months ago he had bought Mahindra tractor and trolley for farming work, which was driven by Bablu Oraon, a resident of Kanchanpur. Driver Bablu told that on the night of February 27, he had parked the tractor in front of his house on Shalimar Road, but when he woke up at six in the morning, the tractor was missing. When the tractor was not found even after a lot of searching, the police was informed.

In view of the seriousness of the matter, the police team started investigation under the leadership of police station in-charge Ramkinkar Yadav. On receiving information from informers in the beat, suspects Nirmal Oraon, Sheikh Sahil alias Appu, Tariq Anwar alias Monu and a juvenile were detained. During interrogation, the accused first tried to mislead the police, but on strict questioning, they confessed to the theft. The accused told that a few days ago they had planned to steal the tractor of driver Bablu Oraon. On the night of 27 February, they stole the tractor and hid it in the Pandaripani forest and started looking for a customer, but due to the vigilance of the police, they were soon caught.

The police recovered the stolen Mahindra tractor (CG 13 BB 3796) and trolley (CG 13 AT 7469) from the accused, which is worth Rs 8.40 lakh. Since the case falls under the category of organized crime, action was also taken against the accused under Section 112, 3(5) BNS. All the accused have been produced in the court and sent on remand. Inspector Ramkinkar Yadav, Head Constable Parasmani Behera, Constable Harish Patel and Constable Chandrashekhar Chandrakar played an important role in this action.
