Stock market at new heights: Sensex crosses 75000 for the first time
New Delhi; Chaitra Navratri has started from today and on the very first day the share market has created a new record by welcoming it. With the opening of the stock market on Tuesday, the Sensex of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) made a huge jump and crossed the 75,000 mark for the first time. Along with the Sensex, the Nifty index of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) also ran at the speed of a rocket and touched a new peak of 22,700. On Tuesday, trading started with strong momentum in the stock market amid excellent global signals. BSE Sensex crossed the 75000 mark for the first time at 9.15 am and opened at 75,124.28 and this is its all-time high level. BSE Sensex had closed at the level of 74,742.50 on the last trading day. NSE Nifty also seemed to be matching the movement of Sensex and reached a new peak with the opening of the market. Nifty started trading at a record level of 22,765.10, this index of NSE had closed at the level of 22,666.30 on the previous trading day. With the beginning of trading in the stock market, while 1,662 shares saw a rise, there were 584 shares which started with a decline and were in the red. There was no change in the position of 97 shares. If we talk about Sensex, the initial momentum has remained constant and after 15 minutes of trading, this index has slipped slightly from its all-time high and is trading at the level of 75,024.35 with a rise of 281.85 points or 0.38 percent. Just before Chaitra Navratri 2024, i.e. on the last trading day on Monday, the stock market had touched a new high level with a strong rise and today, breaking this record, it reached a historic high. At market close on Monday, BSE Sensex closed at 74,742.50 with a gain of 428 points. At the same time, NSE Nifty also closed at the level of 22,666.30 by rising 152.60 points at a stormy pace. The special thing is that with this rise, the market capitalization (BSE MCap) of Bombay Stock Exchange had reached an all-time high of Rs 401.10 lakh crore in the early trading itself. In early trading, shares of Godrej Properties were trading at Rs 2,739.40 on BSE with a rise of 5.85 per cent or Rs 151. Apart from this, Infosys Share was trading with a rise of 2.09 percent, reaching Rs 1508. Among other rising stocks, Tata Steel (1.21%), HCL Technologies (1.05%), Exide Industries (2.31%) and Tata Group company Voltas were trading with a rise of 1.91%.
