Step father sexually abused two minors

Lucknow (IANS) | Childline officials have rescued two minor girls who were sexually abused by their stepfather. The girls are 9 and 10 years old and live in Alambagh area of Lucknow. Childline officials said the girls’ mother remarried to electrician Om Prakash after separating from her first husband.

The girls told them that the man regularly abused them, touched them inappropriately, asked them to perform obscene acts and also beat them.

The minors alleged that when they told their mother about the incident, she did not intervene.

After their rescue, they were taken to Krishna Nagar police station, where an FIR was registered under section 376 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act.

The girls were given medical treatment at Lohia Hospital and then sent to the Child Line Shelter.

Officials said that soon action will be taken against the step father and mother in the case.
