Srinagar: DLSA raises awareness about legal rights of juveniles

Srinagar: In line with a pan-India campaign to identify juveniles in jails and provide them legal aid, the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) today organized an awareness program for inmates at Srinagar Central Jail focusing on Juvenile Justice Law. organised.

The campaign was virtually launched on January 25 by Justice Sanjiv Khanna, Judge of the Supreme Court of India and Acting Chairman of the National Legal Services Authority.

“This collaborative initiative underlines the commitment of legal authorities to ensure fair and appropriate treatment for juvenile offenders within the legal framework,” a government spokesperson said.
