Special attention will be given to the convenience of voters in Vaishali Nagar Assembly

Durg. General Observer Shrikesh Lathkar, appointed by the Election Commission of India for Lok Sabha Constituency Number 7 Durg, visited various polling stations of Assembly Constituency Number 66 Vaishali Nagar and took stock of the preparations so far for voting. Government Primary, Pre and Higher Secondary School Ramnagar with 7 polling stations, Government Primary and Higher Secondary School Housing Board Cantonment with 14 polling stations, Nalanda English Medium School Kurud with 3 polling stations, Government Primary, Pre Secondary School with 7 polling stations. Junwani was inspected and the preparations for voting were closely monitored. Information about the total voters in each poll was taken from the booth level officer of these polling stations and information about the status of voter information slip was taken from them.

It is noteworthy that before the scheduled voting date for Durg Lok Sabha elections, May 7, 2024, under the guidelines of the Election Commission of India and under the direction of Collector and District Election Officer Richa Prakash Chaudhary and ARO Vaishali Nagar Harvansh Singh Miri, the booth level officer – Voter information slips are being distributed at home. While giving instructions to the Booth Level Officer to increase the speed of voter slip distribution, Panchram Salame Tehsildar Dhamdha and AERO 66 Vaishali Nagar were instructed to complete the work of voter slip distribution within 2 days. Also, on the occasion, Zone Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Bhilai, Yesha Deshlahare, Amitabh Sharma were given all the necessary arrangements for the night rest of the polling party and for the convenience of the voters on the polling day, pure drinking water, shade, queue management, large number of polling booths were provided. Instructions were given to make complete arrangements of directional flex etc. for the convenience of voters in the polling stations located in the buildings.
