SP returns 54 lost mobile phones to their owners

Raigarh. Superintendent of Police Divyang Kumar Patel today distributed 54 lost/stolen mobile phones to the police control room through the Cyber Cell. He explained that owners of lost/stolen mobile phones provide information about their mobile phones on the CEIR portal. Once these mobile phones are activated, an alert is sent to the complaint’s alternate number, and the relevant Cyber Cell and police stations also receive emails, which then proceed to recover the mobile phone. The Cyber Cell has recovered 54 such mobile phones in the last two months, including sets from major brands like Redmi, Realme, and Samsung. These mobile phones are valued at approximately ₹972,000.
The Superintendent of Police appealed through the media that mobile phones are a vital means of communication, and users store many important documents, pictures, and videos on them. If these fall into the wrong hands, the mobile phone owner could become a victim of unwanted crime. Whenever anyone finds a lost mobile phone, they should not use it but instead deposit it with the nearest police station or Cyber Cell. Legal action can be taken against misuse of such mobile phones.
During the tenure of Superintendent of Police, Mr. Divyang Patel, the Cyber Cell and police station teams have tracked and redistributed over 400 lost mobile phones. Under the guidance of Superintendent of Police, Divyang Kumar Patel, and the guidance of Additional Superintendent of Police, Akash Markam, and Cyber Cell DSP, Anil Vishwakarma, the Cyber Cell team has been working tirelessly and diligently to track lost mobile phones, achieving excellent results. Over the past two months, the Cyber Cell has tracked lost mobile phones and contacted the users, and then had the Cyber Cell team return them to Cyber Cell, Raigarh, through the staff of the respective police stations.
