Sourav Ganguly lodged a complaint in the police station, investigation started against YouTuber

Later the former captain said that his statement has been misinterpreted. Like some people, YouTuber Mrinmay Das (Cinebap) has also publicly attacked Sourav by making a video. The former captain of the Indian cricket team has lodged a complaint against the YouTuber with the cyber crime wing of the state police. Ganguly said in his complaint that he was threatened.

In the complaint lodged in the cyber cell, a demand has been made to register a case of cyberbullying and defamation. This complaint has been lodged by Tania Bhattacharya, secretary of former BCCI president Sourav Ganguly, through email.

The email sent by Sourav’s secretary to the cyber cell of Kolkata Police reads – I am writing this email to draw your attention to a case of cyberbullying and defamation involving a person named Mrinmay Das. This person has posted a video on a social media platform that targets Sourav Ganguly, uses abusive language against him and makes derogatory comments, which is not dignified for his reputation.

It has also been said in the complaint that Ganguly has been attacked through this video, which has also violated his dignity and honor. In the complaint, Ganguly has requested the police to intervene in this matter. At the same time, it has also been said through Ganguly that appropriate legal action should be taken against Mrinmay Das for defaming and threatening him in this manner.
