Soldiers killed 2 Naxalites in Dantewada-Bijapur border

Dantewada. Two Naxalites have been killed in an encounter in the Dantewada-Bijapur border area. Besides this, two weapons have also been recovered. Many Naxalites are feared to be injured in the encounter. Intensive searching is going on around the incident site.

Let us tell you that on March 18, information was received about the presence of armed Maoists in the forest of Purangel Gampur under Kirandul police station area in Dantewada-Bijapur border area. After which the joint team of DRG and Bastar Fighters (BFR) Dantewada and Young Platoon of CRPF 111, 230, 231 battalions had set out on an anti-Naxal operation. Meanwhile, there was an encounter between police and Maoists in the forest of Purangel, Gampur under Kirandul police station area.

According to the information, bodies of one male and one female Maoist have been recovered in the encounter, which are being identified. During the search, the police seized 2 weapons and a large quantity of ammunition along with items of daily use.
