Snapchat user made obscene photo of Raipur girl viral, arrested from MP

Raipur. Raipur police has arrested Snapchat user. The applicant lodged a report in Purani Basti police station that an unknown Snapchat ID holder fraudulently took obscene photos of his minor daughter, demanded money and threatened to make the photos viral and sent the obscene photos from different WhatsApp numbers to other members of the applicant’s family, his daughter’s friend and school principal and others, that on the applicant’s report, crime number 323/24 under section 384 IPC, 67, 67 (A), 67 (B) IT Act and 15 Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act was registered against the unknown accused in Purani Basti police station.

Under the guidance of senior officers, a joint team of Anti Crime and Cyber ​​Unit and Police Station Purani Basti started investigation of the unknown accused by questioning the applicant and his daughter in detail about the incident. The team members analyzed the Snapchat ID through which the chat took place between the two, as well as the mobile numbers from which the unknown accused had made the photo viral through WhatsApp. After analyzing those IDs and mobile numbers, finally the accused was identified as Bharat Agariya, a resident of Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. On which the team was sent to Gwalior under the guidance of senior officers. The team members reached Gwalior and traced the accused, caught Bharat Agariya and on strict interrogation on the basis of evidence obtained, the accused confessed to have committed the above incident.

The accused used to run Snapchat in the name of BTS Boy and used to hide all his IDs. He used to gain trust of different girls by talking sweetly to them and then ask for their photos, videos and screen shots of call logs and save them with himself. After that, he used to get original obscene photos and videos of the girls by telling them that he will edit their photos and send them to their families. He used to send the same photos and videos to the concerned girls and threaten them by saying that he will send their photos and videos to their families and then demand money from them. The accused was arrested and mobile phone and modem were seized from his possession and the accused was sent on judicial remand.
