Smuggler arrested with ganja worth Rs 1.5 lakh

Surajpur. While taking action on ganja smuggling in Surajpur, police have arrested a person Sachindra Patel (29 years). Police seized 7 kg 500 grams of ganja worth Rs 1 lakh 50 thousand from the accused smuggler. Police have taken action against the smuggler under NDPS. In fact, on March 1, Ramanujnagar police station received information from an informer that a person was going to sell ganja in a motorcycle to Rajapur via Surajpur-Ketka.

Based on the information, the police took action and laid siege to village Rajapur and arrested the accused smuggler along with the motorcycle. Let us inform that Surajpur Deputy Inspector General of Police/Senior Superintendent of Police M.R.Ahire (I.P.S.) has instructed the police station in-charges of the district to take strict action against the people involved in the drug trade. Since then, the police of police stations across the district are keeping a constant watch on the drug trade.
