SIT will soon present the charge sheet in journalist Mukesh Chandrakar murder case

Bijapur. The investigation into the journalist Mukesh Chandrakar murder case is now in its final stages. The SIT (Special Investigation Team) is preparing to present a chargesheet in the case soon. According to the police, many important clues have been found during the investigation, which is likely to lead to some more big revelations related to this murder.

It is worth noting that on the night of January 1, 2025, four accused including contractor Suresh Chandrakar brutally murdered journalist Mukesh Chandrakar. After the murder, the body was thrown into a septic tank to dispose of it. When Mukesh was not found till the next day, the journalists of Bijapur lodged a missing report at the police station. The police started the investigation promptly and recovered Mukesh’s body from the septic tank of the accused contractor’s house on the evening of January 2. Within just 24 hours, all four accused were arrested and sent on judicial remand.

In view of the seriousness of the case, a high-level 11-member SIT was formed, which thoroughly investigated every aspect of the incident. The police had already issued a press release stating that many important clues have been found during the investigation. Now, after about two months, the SIT has almost completed its investigation and the process of filing a chargesheet has been started. The police say that some more important revelations may also come out with the chargesheet, which will unravel the conspiracy behind this heinous murder.
