Shreya Thakur gets Student of the Year title

Paonta Sahib. On Thursday, at DAV Sirmaur Senior Secondary Public School, Paonta Sahib, the students of class 1 gave a farewell party to the students of class 2. Principal Shalinikant Thakur was present as the chief guest in this program. First of all, Havan was organized by Principal Shalinikant Thakur and all the staff in the presence of students of class plus one and class two. The program was inaugurated by the Principal by lighting the lamp. School head boy Lucky Singh and head girl Shreya Thakur greeted the principal by presenting a flower bunch. As part of the cultural programme, a beautiful classical dance was presented by the students of class one. After this, the students of class 1 presented a comedy skit depicting school life, the aim of which was to motivate the students not to cheat. Thereafter, the students of one class gathered on one side and presented a spectacular dance and received applause. After this, the fusion dance presented by the students tied the knot.

Meanwhile, the students of class one presented titles and mementos to the students of class two, reflecting their personalities. Besides, gifts were also presented to the teachers including the Principal. The last presentation of the cultural programs was the dance of Angel of class 2, which was highly appreciated by everyone. Head Boy Lucky Singh and Head Girl Shreya Thakur gave detailed information about all the teachers and described the contribution of DAV Paonta and staff as unforgettable in their lives. In the end, the leading students in all-round fields were selected and went through various rounds of questions in which the Principal herself played the role of judge. Tushar was selected as Mr. DAV, Vanshika Bangwal as Miss DAV. Head girl Shreya Thakur was honored on stage as Student of the Year. In the end, Principal Shalinikant Thakur wished all the students a bright future and gave the basic mantras of success and provided tips to get good marks in the examinations. The Principal praised the entire staff for successfully organizing the event.
