Shooting of NTR’s new action film ‘Dragon’ in full swing

Entertainment: The long-awaited collaboration between Mass Hero NTR and director Prashanth Neel is creating a buzz in the Telugu film industry. The project, dubbed “Dragon,” has been officially confirmed by the makers. Shooting is progressing rapidly for this high-voltage action drama, produced on a grand scale by Mythri Movie Makers. Kannada beauty Rukmini Vasanth will star opposite NTR in the female lead.

To meet the demands of the story, NTR underwent significant transformations, including losing significant weight. The film also stars Malayalam superstar Tovino Thomas and Bollywood veteran Anil Kapoor in pivotal roles. After blockbuster pan-India films like the KGF series and Salaar, this is Prashanth Neel’s first project with NTR, raising audience expectations significantly. Recently, Anil Kapoor joined the shooting, adding further star power to the project.
The film is set against a backdrop inspired by the China-Bhutan border, and the team recently returned from Jordan, where they shot major action sequences. Currently, the remaining fight sequences are being shot on a specially constructed set at Ramoji Film City.

In addition, the film features another strong female character, played by veteran actress Khushboo. Prashanth Neel is known for giving considerable scope to strong female characters, as seen in his portrayals of Indira Gandhi in KGF Chapter 2 and Radharam in Salaar. Similarly, the female lead in Dragon has been designed to be a strong, impactful presence. Khushboo revealed that working with NTR has been a long-held dream of hers, and the film fulfills that desire.

The makers are expected to release an official announcement soon. This pan-India project will feature NTR in a never-before-seen avatar in a high-octane, action-packed role. Set in 1969, the epic action drama features music by Ravi Basrur and features high-voltage action sequences, which are expected to be one of the highlights of the film, according to insiders.
