Shocking! Bengaluru Woman kills pet dog in tantric ritual, body found at residence

New Delhi: In a shocking incident, a woman from Bengaluru has been arrested on charges of killing her own pet dog for a tantric ritual. The incident reportedly took place in the flat at Doddanekkundi, Mahadevapura. The woman had hid the body at her flat for three days.

The incident came to light after the residents living nearby informed civic officials of a strong stench coming from the apartment. The woman has been identified as Triparna Payak.

According to the sources, woman killed her Labrador dog by strangling and cut its neck. She wrapped the dog’s body in cloth, kept it in her flat and fled away. Days later, neighbours noticed rotten smell coming from the apartment, they informed the Bengaluru civic body.

The officials found the rotten body of the dog with a cut on its neck.

Along with the body other objects related to tantric ritual was also found in the apartment which prompted the authorities to investigate the matter. Officials also found many religious pictures scattered around the house which indicated that some kind of ritual was performed at flat.

Additionally two alive dogs were also found in the house tied with a leash to the wall.

Police has filed case against the woman under animal cruelty and related sections at the Police station.

The accused belongs to West Bengal, said the officials.

Further investigation is underway.
