Shiv Sena leader Suraj Chavan arrested by ED

Suraj Chavan has been arrested by ED in the BMC Khichdi Covid scam case. According to the information, in October last year, ED had also raided the locations of the accused related to the case.

Please note that earlier, the Economic Offenses Wing of Mumbai Police had registered a case regarding the BMC Covid Center Khichdi scam. This case is about a scam of about Rs 6.7 crore. Suraj Chavan is said to be close to Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aditya Thackeray. In this case, the police had registered a case against a total of 7 people.
