Shimla: Street lights lying non-functional across the city are troubling pedestrians

Himachal Pradesh: There is no doubt that car parking near the lift is a great relief for tourists and locals. However, the always busy parking proves to be a big headache for people while exiting. Due to the manual charge collection system, it takes 15 to 20 minutes for passengers to exit the parking area. Often, this delay causes drivers to pay more parking fees, which is not their fault. Some drivers coming from the plains, who may not be skilled in handling the steep climb, often damage parts of their cars here. The problem can be solved by creating payment counters on at least three floors if there is more movement of vehicles. The possibility of a system like Fastag for payment of parking fees can also be explored to reduce this difficulty.

Street lights getting damaged

Street lights are not working properly in many areas of Shimla city. Due to this, pedestrians are facing a lot of inconvenience. The concerned authorities are requested to get these lights repaired on priority basis in the interest of the residents of the area.
