Shikha Goyal clarifies FSL fire accident rumors

Shikha Goel, the director of the institute, has responded to the propaganda that evidence related to the vote-for-note case was burnt in the fire accident at the Forensic Science Lab in Nampally, Hyderabad. She said that there is a false propaganda that evidence in two key cases was burnt in the fire accident. The equipment related to those cases has already been handed over to the court. She was angry that false propaganda is being spread regarding the 2015 ACB case.

The fire broke out at 10.08 am on Saturday and was doused by fire personnel at 1.30 pm. The fire spread to the FSL lab, training hall, library and HRD room, it was said. Shikha Goel said that a complaint has been filed with the police about the fire at FSL. She said that they have launched an investigation into the causes of the accident. The authorities are assessing the damage and will reveal the details once there is clarity on this.

Shikha Goel said that some people are spreading lies about the FSL fire. She said that there is a false rumor that the evidence in two key cases has been burnt. She said that the equipment related to those cases has been handed over to the court in the past. She said that false propaganda is being spread in the case of the ACB case of 2015. She said that evidence has also been submitted to the court in the case registered in Panjagutta PS. She said that out of the 16 evidence collected till 2024, all but 7 have been given to the court. She said that the FSL will keep all the evidence and equipment safe. She explained that if anything happens, our team will restore the information.
