Sharpshooter involved in murder of political leader arrested in Goa

Panaji: Two sharp shooters involved in the sensational murder of Haryana’s Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) president Nafe Singh Rathi last month were arrested in Goa on Monday.

The accused, identified as Saurabh and Ashish, were arrested in a joint operation conducted between Haryana Police and Special Cell of Delhi Police in Anjuna and Calangute areas. Both the accused were found staying in a hotel.
Both the shooters are reportedly linked to the notorious Kapil Sangwan gang. A senior Delhi Police officer had earlier said that Ashish, Saurabh, Nakul and Atul were the four men who fired several rounds at the vehicle of Rathi and Kishan in Bahadurgarh in Haryana’s Jhajjar district on February 25.

Both the accused were later brought from Goa to Delhi and then to Jhajjar district of Haryana. Both the accused have been sent to police custody for eight days.
