Shakti Swarup Dash becomes second Odia to Clear ASCA Level-1 Conducted by BCCI

Cuttack: Shakti Swarup Dash from Puri district has successfully cleared the Australian Strength and Conditioning Association (ASCA) Level 1 Strength and Conditioning Coach Accreditation Course, conducted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). With this achievement, he becomes the second Odia to attain this prestigious certification. Earlier, Purnendu Jena was the first candidate from Odisha to achieve this milestone.

The ASCA Level 1 Course provides a fundamental level of knowledge and skills in Strength and Conditioning (S&C), equipping professionals to work effectively in developing and implementing basic strength and conditioning programs for athletes.

It is noteworthy that Shakti Swarup Dash had served as the Strength & Conditioning Coach for the Odisha U-16 team during the previous season.

Adding to his achievements, Shakti Swarup Dash has also qualified for the Level 2 of the BCCI CoE Cricket Specific Strength and Conditioning Certification Program. The Level 2 course is scheduled to be held at the BCCI Centre of Excellence (CoE), Bengaluru, on July 17 and 18, 2025.

Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) Secretary Sanjay Behera, along with other Office Bearers congratulated Shakti Swarup Dash on this remarkable achievement and extended their best wishes for his future assignments.
