Severe heat wave warning issued in 17 divisions, APSDMA issues notice

Andhra Pradesh: The Andhra Pradesh Disaster Management Authority (APSDMA) has predicted a severe heat wave in 17 divisions of the state. Officials have urged citizens to remain vigilant and take health precautions.
According to the APSDMA, prolonged exposure to the sun during a heat wave can have serious consequences for the body. The risk of heat-related illnesses increases in such weather. Officials have advised people to drink adequate water, wear light and loose clothing, avoid prolonged exposure to the sun, and take special care of children, the elderly, and the sick.
Instructions have also been issued to take special precautions in government schools and local institutions. Additionally, the local administration is actively working to ensure the supply of cold water and soft drinks as needed.
The APSDMA stated that all district and division administrations will remain on alert, and that rapid relief and rescue operations will be prioritized in case of any emergency. Citizens have been urged to follow weather updates and safety instructions.
Experts say that this effect of heat wave may last for the next few days, hence caution and vigilance is extremely important.
