Several quintals of paddy seized from grocery store’s warehouse

Takhatpur. Action is going on continuously against middlemen in the area. The joint team of Revenue and Mandi Department has again sealed the shop after confiscating 230 sacks of illegal paddy on illegal paddy storage. The shopkeeper had dumped paddy worth lakhs under the guise of a grocery shop. The whole matter is of Bhimpuri of Takhatpur assembly.

The government is buying paddy at the support price of Rs 3100. Due to this, middlemen have become active in Takhatpur area and are trying to buy paddy from farmers and sell it in the market. At the same time, the administration is also taking prompt action in this matter.

In this case, Takhatpur Mandi Secretary Nikki Choubey said that information was received about illegal paddy storage, in which a joint team of Revenue and Mandi Department conducted raids. 230 sacks of paddy were found stored in the grocery shop, for which valid documents were sought, but on not showing any documents, the paddy was seized and the shop was sealed. Action will continue against illegal paddy storage in future as well.
